Job Summary
Transform 42 Inc. is seeking a results-driven Business Analyst (1099 Contractor) to support client initiatives in the federal and defense space. This remote role is ideal for professionals experienced in capturing business needs, analyzing workflows, and contributing to mission-critical transformation projects. You’ll work independently but collaboratively within a distributed, cross-functional team focused on innovation and operational excellence.

• 🔗 Vendor Management Solutions – Support procurement modernization and vendor lifecycle analysis
• 🔗 Business Process Management – Drive workflow mapping, operational redesign, and performance optimization
• 🔗 Cybersecurity & Penetration Testing – Translate risk assessments into structured reporting and process improvements
• 🔗 IT Service Management (ITSM) – Align IT operations with measurable service delivery improvements
• 🔗 Learning & Development Services – Shape training strategies, assess program effectiveness, and support LMS transitions
• 🔗 Business Development & Proposal Writing – Help define solution strategies and capture business requirements in RFPs
• 🔗 Talent Management & Recruiting – Use analytics to improve workforce planning and hiring outcomes
• 🔗 AI & Machine Learning Solutions – Define data requirements and evaluate intelligent system solutions
• 🔗 Marketing Strategy & Execution – Analyze campaign data and shape market-facing strategies
• 🔗 Data Analysis & Analytics – Support insights generation, KPI tracking, and dashboard design
• 🔗 Organizational Development – Clarify roles, assess structures, and inform change management
• 🔗 Digital Transformation – Lead stakeholder interviews and drive modernization projects
• 🔗 Financial Consulting – Document finance processes, support audits, and align reporting structures
• 🔗 Secure Software / DevSecOps – Bridge user needs with technical development in secure environments
• 🔗 Real Estate & Development – Analyze property data and support asset planning initiatives

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering
• Document business processes, pain points, and desired outcomes
• Develop user stories, business requirements documents (BRDs), and process flows
• Perform gap analyses between current and target states
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solution alignment
• Support development of testing plans, training materials, and implementation roadmaps
• Ensure deliverables meet compliance and performance expectations

Qualifications

• 0 to 3+ years of business analysis experience, ideally supporting government clients
• Excellent documentation, communication, and client facilitation skills
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments
• Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and Visio
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Public Administration, or related field
• U.S. citizenship required; clearance preferred but not mandatory

Compensation
This is a 1099 contract position. Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience.
